2019 - This wine is a blend of “all red grapes, many different kinds''. A rosé, made direct press and then fermented in fiberglass for 10 months on lees. Anne and Anders left about 12g of residual sugar on this wine for a light sweetness but also to see if it would “give some small bubbles'', which it has in the slightest. Punchy cherry chapstick and florals on the nose with candied red apple skin dominating the palette. This wine is one of pure joy and fun, the sugar and light bubbles are honestly very welcome here. It is aptly named and makes us want to party even more than we already do right now.

"Anders Frederik Steen has become somewhat of a cult hero in Ardèche in the past years, and his wines are quickly becoming some of the most sought after in the natural wine world. To understand his wines, we have to trace his history which led him to making wine in the Ardèche. Anders first worked as a chef in Copenhagen, in his native Denmark. His ambitions lead him to learning about wine in order to get a leg up on other chefs in the city, and to understand how it fit into the dining experience. Having worked alongside Renée Redzepi at a former restaurant, Anders decided to reach out about a position at Renée’s new restaurant (Noma). Redzepi hired him as an apprentice sommelier at Noma, where he worked for three years. This is where he began to learn about wine, and was introduced to wines made naturally and with minimal intervention. After Noma, Anders along with other Noma alumni, successfully opened Relae and then Manfreds, both in Copenhagen. During this time, he began to make connections with winemakers through their importers in Denmark. He often traveled with the importers to France.

In 2013, Anders, his partner Anne, and their kids, moved to France and settled in Valvignères, a small town in Ardèche, home to roughly 400 people. Valvignères (valley of vines) has a rich history of wine, the Romans having planted vines here over 2000 years ago."
